Welcome to the new NCSU ECO Website

         NCSU Environmental Concerns Organization (ECO) is a student organization dedicated to protecting the environment through direct political engagement. We have been active at NC State University since 2009 under the name Greenpeace at NC State with an ever evolving network of new activists.  We are a proud member of the NC Student Energy Network and have taken part in large scale demonstrations such as Capitol Climate Action, HKonJ, Appalachia Rising, the March on Blair Mountain, Moving Planet and Tar Sands Action.

         We begin with the presupposition that the current ecological crisis is the result of anthropromorphic industrial pollution in each individual ecosystem and the grander atmosphere as a whole.  Whether observing current environmental data or observing the most recent oil spill, it is becoming increasingly apparent that the ill effects of climate change and ecological degradation will continue until directly engaged on a systemic level. As such, NCSU Eco is dedicated to not only bringing awareness to the issues but also to actively challenging the root causes of our current ecological dilemma.
